Beautiful enough to display — doubles as a statement piece on your kitchen counter or dining table
Ideal for gifting — Diwali, housewarming, weddings, or any occasion that calls for something meaningful
Why You’ll Love It
Customers who buy it often come back and tell us it's become the most-commented-on thing in their kitchen. Guests ask about it. It sits on the counter and it earns its place — not because it's trendy, but because it's true. Functional, beautiful, time-tested. That combination is rare, and when we find it, we stock it.
Customization:
Copper needs a little love — here's how to keep it beautiful for years.
Before first use:
Rinse thoroughly with water. Fill with clean water and let it sit for 6–8 hours before drinking. This conditions the copper and removes any residue from storage.
Daily use:
Fill with fresh, clean drinking water. Store overnight or for 6–8 hours for best Ayurvedic benefit. Empty and rinse daily — do not let stale water sit for more than 12 hours.
Cleaning:
Wash with a mild soap or dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth or sponge. Never use steel wool, abrasive scrubbers, or harsh chemical cleaners — these will scratch the surface and strip the natural patina.
Natural polish (remove tarnish):
Mix equal parts lemon juice and salt (or tamarind paste) and rub gently on the surface. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Do this once a week or whenever you notice darkening.
Drying:
Always dry completely after washing. Do not leave water pooling inside or outside the matka — this accelerates oxidation and can cause uneven patina.
What to expect:
Copper naturally darkens and develops a patina over time — this is normal and beautiful. It is not a defect. If you prefer a bright finish, clean with the lemon-salt method regularly. If you love the aged look, let it develop naturally.
